【摘要】:Therequirementsofthisspecificationareintendedtoprovideinformationtoselect,designandinstallthermoplastic,water-pressurepipingsystemsforuseoutsidebuildings.MaterialscoveredinthisspecificationarePoly(VinylChloride)(PVC)andPolyethylene(PE)plasticpipefittings.1.1Thisguideisintendedforuseintheselection,design,andinstallationofthermoplasticwatersystemsforuseoutsidebuildings.Forspecificprojects,athoroughreviewofthisguideisrecommendedforthepurposeofselectingspecificmaterials,methodsofjoining,systemdesignfactor,andanyspecialproceduresdeemednecessarytoassureasatisfactorysystem.1.2Itisrecommendedthatgoverningcodesandprojectspecificationsbeconsultedpriortotheuseofthisguide.Nothinginthisguideshouldbeconstruedasrecommendingpracticesorsystemsatvariancewithgoverningcodesandprojectspecifications.1.3Units-ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Valuesinparenthesesareforinformationalpurposesonly.Thevaluesineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents,therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesforthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.Thepipe,fittings,andjoiningmaterialsshallmeettherequirementsofoneormoreofthefollowingcomponentproductstandardslistedin1.3.1through1.3.3totheextentapplicable.Thosepipestandardsfollowedby(a)areoutsidediameter-controlledpipes.Thosefollowedby(b)areinsidediameter-controlledpipes.1.3.1Pipeswithwallthicknesseslessthan1.50mm(0.06in.)arenotrecommended.1.4OtherJoiningDevices8212;Joiningdevicesotherthanthosecoveredbythelistedstandardsmaybeselectedbytheuseronthebasisofhisownengineeringevaluationandserviceexperience.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtoproducedataindicativeofthedegreeofcrosslinkinginultrahighmolecularweightpolyethylenethathasbeencrosslinkedchemicallyorbyionizingradiation.Theresultsaresensitivetothetesttemperature,solvent,andmethodused.Forthecomparisonofdatabetweeninstitutions,caremustbetakentohavethesametestconditionsandreagents.Thedatacanbeusedfordoseuniformityanalysis,fundamentalresearch,andqualityassurancetesting.1.1Thistestmethoddescribeshowthecrosslinkdensity,molecularweightbetweencrosslinks,andnumberofrepeatunitsbetweencrosslinksinultra-highmolecularweightpolyethylene(UHMWPE)crosslinkedbyionizingradiationorbychemicalmeanscanbedeterminedbymeasuringtheswellingratioofsamplesimmersedino-xylene.Examplesofexperimentaltechniquesusedtomakethesemeasurementsarediscussedherein.1.2Thetestmethodreportedheremeasuresthechangeinheightofasamplespecimenwhileitisimmersedinthesolvent.Volumetricswellratiosassumethatthesampleiscrosslinkedisotropically,andthatthechangeindimensionwillbeuniforminalldirections.Thistechniqueavoidsuncertaintyinducedbysolventevaporationortemperaturechange.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
